In just under a weeks time i'll be preparing to jet off on the 8 and a half hour flight to NYC with the rest of my Fashion Communication course. Excited is an understatement, New York is my favourite city in the whole entire world although having only been once before this year with my best friend on our first 'girls' holiday, the excitement to go back is slowly taking over. I absolutely love travelling so the idea of a long haul flight to me is no problem, after having been last time and done most of the touristy things, this next trip I want to explore more of what New York has to offer.

Obviously a lot of shopping is going to happen, thats inevitable when you're in NYC, but I also want to explore the cities art galleries and museums. Another thing that i'm excited to do is capture some of the street style over there, we've been set a photo essay in which i'm focusing on Mother and daughters, so i'll be keeping my eye out for creative people who I can capture. I want to go down to Soho to revisit one of my favourite little deli's and a great shop called Ricky's which stocks NYX a well known make up brand in the US.
Another place I definitely want to go is the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) museum, the FIT museum consists of three galleries consisting of various exhibits and miniature galleries. They change them completely every six months, but regardless of when you do visit, you are sure to find over 250 years of fashion history.
