R O A R I N G T W E N T I E S

We were told to create a mood board on a fashion era/art movement of our choice so I chose to focus on the 1920's. A time of the flapper dress, Norma Shearer and Art Deco. I absolutely love Gatsby and the style of the era so chose to look into the history of the time period. I've featured various famous actresses such as previously mentioned, Norma Shearer, Alice Joyce and Claudette Colbert. I also researched into who were the big designers at the time, sketches featured on my mood board are by Norman Hartnell, Hilda Steward and Victor Stiebel. I then looked into the vogue covers at the time featuring two from January and March and also a copy of Motion Pictures Classic featuring an illustration of Alice Joyce by Don Reed. The background is a simple art deco style piece that I liked, particularly the colours also black and gold shouts glamourous which many of the flapper dresses were.
