After having been a blogger for a little over a year now, I've realised blogging isn't just writing about whats new this season or you're favourite beauty products. Blogging opens new doors in every direction, from creating relationships with brands and PR companies, to forming friendships with other bloggers who are able to introduce your blog to a whole new audience through their own followers.
One of our first tasks on my Fashion Communication & Promtion course at NTU was to create a blog documenting our different experiences throughout this module. I decided to create a new blog separate from my existing one (The Finest Things) as I felt they wouldn't link well together. We have been asked to create a post on three new bloggers that until now, we were unaware of. To get my hunt for some new bloggers started, I searched through Look's Top 20 Fashion bloggers which was a link given to us in our seminar. Many of the blogs featured are some of my daily reads however there were a few which were new to me which I loved as it's always exciting finding new blogs.
1. Coco's Tea Party
Blogs like this are my favourite type to read, ones that offer a variety of posts. From personal style to favourite products, with blogs like this you never get bored. The photography is extremely good quality which I find is always important on blogs, bad photography can ruin the whole reading experience for me. Each photo has been taken in a creative way, rather than just throwing a product against a white background, she has experimented with different props and prints to use as backgrounds to create a different take on her photos.
2. TOMMY TON
This blog is based purely on street style, not a word insight just 100's of pictures capturing some of the best street style around the world. A key reason I like this blog particularly is because theres a balance of both male and female, I find it difficult to find blogs these days that feature both genders so it's a refreshing change to discover this one. I find these blogs are great for getting inspiration, whether its inspiration for an outfit or simply needed some motivation, I tend to sift through street style blogs for hours making folders of my favourite pictures.
3. SEA OF SHOES
I like this blog for similar reasons to the first one, for the fact it offers variety. I love that Jane the writer features plenty of OOTD's but also tells the reader why she loves her outfit so much, her fave piece and where they're from. Another thing she does a lot is mini polyvore type posts, putting together outfits that are perfect for inspiration to anyone needing some ideas for their wardrobe.
